Born near Boston, USA, after graduation from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) Bruce Fifield began his career in Italy as a consultant to Olivetti Spa. In 1986 he Co-Founded Design Continuum Italia where as Creative Director he provided strategic leadership in the design and development of award winning products prior to opening Studio Fifield in 2010.
Now living and working in Milan Italy for over 30 years, with his experience in the world of user insight and understanding of what really matters in the creation and delivery of ideal user experiences, Bruce Fifield has received numerous international awards which include; IDSA, IF, Red Dot, Medical Design Excellence Award, Best of NeoCon and the Compasso D’oro.
Bruce Fifield holds a BA degree in Industrial Design from RISD and has taken Marketing and Management courses at Boston University and the Harvard Business School and frequently holds lectures on the strategic link between good business and great design and is active as a visiting professor at various Design Schools and Universities in Italy and abroad.

Bruce Fifield and the staff of his studio work closely with business leaders to identify innovative breakthrough ideas that can be transformed into commercially successful business, product and service solutions. Specific areas of focus include Graphic User Interface and the design of medical devices as well as the design and development of furniture for workplace environments’.
